Chamber Orchestra Transcriptions
The Verein-Karst Method of Transcription, which I developed during my PhD research at Salford University, enables me to create a transcription which focuses on the authenticity of the musical material while respecting the authorship of the original composer. Orchestral arrangements can be created for up to fifteen instrumentalists which faithfully re-create the intentions of the composer without sacrificing the integrity of the original score.

Using my method, transcriptions of compositions for large orchestra can be created for chamber ensembles and chamber orchestras of similar or mixed instrumentation. Instruments which were called for in the original score but which are unavailable to the ensemble can have their parts re-assigned during the transcription process, thereby allowing for perfromances of massive orchestral works in a chamber orchestra setting.

If you are interested in commissioning a transcription for your ensemble, please contact me by email at studiokarst@gmail.com. I look forward to crafting a transcription which will engage your musicians and broaden your concert repertory.

Chamber Ensemble Transcriptions
Here is a video collection of my arrangements of Renaissance music for tuba quartet. I enjoy transcribing for brass, and look forward to expanding my offerings to include other chamber ensembles such as string quartet, wind quintet, and ensembles with mixed instrumentation.
